Hello

My name is Brian Mitchell.  I am a member of St. Mark AME Church in Milwaukee, WI, and the President of the Fourth Episcopal District Sons of Allen.

The Fourth District Sons of Allen is proud to be a part of the Emmanuel Connection's Equity Collective.  By using the Equity Collective app, we are able to organize and fundraise on-the-go.  Like all organizations in the Equity Collective, we are passionate about creating equity.  We create equity by closing gaps in access to the social determinants of health.  Our wide geographical footprint and organizational structure uniquely equip us to address social determinants of health like Housing, Workforce Development, Voting Rights, the Environment & Ecology, Food Access, Healthcare Access & Quality, and Education Access & Quality.  Through commissions like the Commission on Christian Service, the Commission on Prison Ministry, and the Commission on Youth, we are well suited to serve communities throughout Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana.  Internationally, we are organized to serve communities in India and Ontario and Nova Scotia, Canada.  Our use of the Equity Collective app allows us to organize and fundraise anywhere, anytime.

OurStory

Our story is one of empowerment and impact.  We would love for you to be a part of our story as we join along with other organizations in the Equity Collective.

Monthly Open House
One way to be a part of our story is to join our Interest Group in the Equity Collective app.  Once per month, we
attend an Open House along with other Interest Groups in the app to skill-up on strategic storytelling about our mission and vision in a way that attracts volunteers and funding.  The Open House is virtual, free, and offers an opportunity to connect with other organizations doing great work.  You may click here to join the Equity Collective app and RSVP for one or more Open House events.

Capacity Builder

Another way to be a part of our story is to become a capacity builder in the Equity Collective app.  For about the price of a fish fry once per month, you can help us build capacity by raising funds to cover fees for consulting services like grant writing, demographic studies, and strategic planning.  These consulting services will help the Fourth District Sons of Allen and the local Sons of Allen Chapters we serve be that much more viable when seeking grants and other types of funding.  The idea behind raising funds to cover consulting fees is to raise a little bit of money now to help us attract and access more funding later.  Instead of an actual fish fry, you will "feast" on interviews and stories about the impact we are already making.  If you would like to be a capacity builder along with us, you may click here to join us in the Capacity Builder tier of the Equity Collective app.
